God's redemption is sure because it is firmly anchored in the ancient covenant promises he has made to his people. And finally, God's purpose for redeeming a people for himself is that he might forgive them of their sins, free them from their oppression and enable them to serve him without fear.

Renewing Our Hope

God can renew our hope through the unlikely story of the conception of John the Baptist. In this story, we see God's plans prevail over pain, unbelief and impossible circumstances. The path to renewing our hope is to press into what God has done for us, not what we do for God.
