Isaiah 52:7-10

In this prophecy, Isaiah speaks of good news that will bring joy to God's people in Zion. The proclamation of this good news was fulfilled in the angels' announcement of king Jesus' birth in Luke 2:8-14. It is through faith in Jesus that we are saved and able to experience true joy and peace.

In the uncertain times we live in, Christmas shows us that we can have a sure and certain hope. God has promised light, joy and peace in place of our darkness, anguish and gloom. He has the power to fulfil his promises, and does so by sending Jesus.
