Even though they are difficult and often painful, yet we are reminded that the Spirit dwells in us as God's household and He is with us in our suffering. Therefore, we can rejoice, trust in God and do good in our suffering, knowing that God is using trials to shape us into the image of Christ.

We are called to be faithful to God while being fully engaged in the world: this is called holiness. When we suffer for holiness, we give evidence that we belong to Jesus. We are motivated to holiness because Jesus is coming again to judge. And, God has left us with some practical resources to pursue holiness: prayer, love and service.
